Cats and dogs etc.

There was a terrible noise in the kitchen. Nam Dtan, our old, almost blind dog had broken the back of a monitor lizard. When I had taken a few pictures, I realized that it was not yet dead, and I had to kill the lizard with a kitchen axe. The quality of the photo was terrible, but the only one usable. The picture has been repaired by making two versions in Photoshop and painting them together with history brush.

Just a guest for a few weeks, before he came up to the family in Uttaradit.Mom. Her name is Nam Pheung (Honey):

Babe. His name is Panda:

Oedipus lost his balls today

Difficult picture. Had to do a lot of work on it in Photoshop.

This one is much bigger, than the one our dog killed. This monitor had a nest under the neighbour's house. I met one while I was walking a few days ago. It was hiding behind a bush, and when I came too close, it suddenly jumped away and into a canal. They are shy and clever, and will only bite if they feel cornered.

Hornet (gedehams). I got two bites, when I was cutting down branches from a tree. I was attacked by a nest full, but got away quickly. Not as painfull as the bites from European hornet. The locals rub the bite with papaya.

Venomous Scolopender (da kaap). Panda was bitten by one, and he was just lying on a chair next to me for one week. It can paralyse a mouse completely in about 2 seconds. This one is just a baby:

This dog has been living at the local temple for 17 years. The day I took theese pictures, was the last time I saw it:
Don't touch. The hairs from this caterpillar itches terribly:
I met some men fishing down at the canal. Their catch are on the pictures below.
