The neighbourhood

This bronze statue of Buddha is from the Buddha Monton park, located just outside Bangkok. The statue is about 16 m high.
The lakes in the Buddha Monton park is heavily populated with gready cat fish.

The road outside the main gate of our village.
There is a wilderness out in one corner of our village. Must lookout carefully for snakes here. You will see this everywhere in the country. Garbage is thrown where people can get rid of it.
Swamp. Well, the whole area is actually swamp. Filled up, drained etc.

Koh Chang

Koh Chang - Elephant Island. Riding elephants in the northern jungle. Swimming. Waterfall in the central jungle. The central jungle is one of the most well protected rain forests in the world. We were there out of season. My daugther and her friend would have gone diving, but it was canceled because of bad visibility under water.

First time I have seen a pink elephant. She is 40 years old.

Playing a little with effects in Photoshop.
Some people ignored warnings against tidal waves, and a Dutch woman drowned here short time after we left. 5 people were rescued.

Prachuap Kiri Khan

From a holiday trip. Prachuap Kiri Khan is the northernmost city in southern Thailand. There was a threatening male monkey on the stairs up the "Mirror Tunnel Mountain". Bribed him with fruit and passed. Same when we were going down. We were bathing at Ao Manao (Lemon Bay), south of the city (cross the military air field to the south to get there). Another possibility is to visit the mountain caves near the Myanmar border (30 km from the city). Rabies vaccination is recommended for entering mountain caves.

Don't park so near the mountain. It's monkey area.

Very tiny crabs making "huge" constructions.
